Wow, where did the summer go? I've been traveling non-stop, mostly work :( But can't complain, I just spent a wonderful week in Arizona with good friends, and made many more along the way...Lots of fun, horseback riding, a spa day, shopping in Scotsdale, fabulous finds at Melrose Vintage(shabby chic decor, original art, select craft supplies, ephemera, etc), Mystic Papers (ephemera, dresden german scraps, really it was like walking into my childhood!), and the Rufflers Roost (a ribbon store!!!) And had super wonderful coffee and treats at a delightful nugget of a spot in Mesa.
And then there was Creative Escape...3 super intense days of learning techniques and creating art with classes from the experts and rockstar crafters!
And we had one or two adventures along the way...like inadvertantly driving dark in the dessert at night (not recommended, but kinda of cool); one who will remain nameless got herself locked in the mens room, in the "stall" with a motion activated toilet that wouldn't stop, until the guy with the crow bar showed up! We arrived in time for record breaking scorching hot weather, saw a dirt storm, a full moon over the dessert, beautiful sunrises and sunsets....lots of fun! (and only got a teeny bit of sunburn, dashing from the car to the mall, car to the resort....)
I got the "down low" from the girls last week from CE and it looks like you girls had allot of fun! Sorry you couldn't make it back to the store Friday & hope to see you soon!

thanks Steph ... I left a very little something for you on the top shelf of the book case at the back of the sb studio ;o) Thought about you alot at CE, you should really think about it for next year, you would love it!
