Busy Busy...

...seems like I'm crazy busy these days, but at least it makes me feel ALIVE!  The travel for work is picking up again, and I've been to some new places, like Crane River, Man. :

It was a misty wet day, and as we drove up a coyote calmly walked by!

Winter hass definitely arrived arrived out west, I got snowed in at Dauphin a week ago and ended up in a crummy motel (window held together with duct tape!)

And this weekend flew out of Winnipeg just as a blizzard was whipping up:

Even though there's no snow, a unique street art/ad outside the office in Ottawa is a reminder it will come soon enough!

And I can't resist sharing, two new members of my vintage camera collection:

Back again...

...in more ways than one!  Back on the blog today and back to work last month after a "stress leave".  I think it should be called "anti-stress", or "de-stressing" leave, LOL.  Its good to be back!

Here's a recent page I did early one morning before heading out to the office at 7 am:

Today has been a busy winter-shopping day (boots for me, jacket for munchkins) and a put the garden to bed day:

I love the fall, the crisp air and the quality of the light outdoors.  There's a lot to be Thankful for in November after all, and this year in honour of my growing number of  American friends I've decided to celebrate American Thanksgiving :)   Why the heck not, eh? LOL.  Now I need to convince my house full of boys and men!

Here's today's thankfulness: listening to the sound of my first born and youngest boys (ages 25 and 7) playing dinosaurs together makes me happy!

{BTW, all photos taken with my iPhone ;) }

Inspiration corner & some simple LOs

I'm really very lucky to have my own lovely craft room, and I want to be especially grateful right now while I can in case I loose it to the returning prodigal son!  Actually my oldest boy is no prodigal but a fine young man, after a number of years in Toronto he's considering a return to school and so is coming home, which makes me very happy!  He says just for a month or so, but I don't know, the last son who said that has been home again 2 years so far!!

But in the theme of being grateful, here's a couple of pictures to share taken from my seat in the craft room, I find the space very inspiring and love the early morning light that streams in like marmalade!

And while I'm sharing, here's some super-simple LOs recently done:

These last two were based on the PageMaps challenge at the Scrapbox for August...somewhere I have 4-5 more based on the same sketches that I should photograph and share!

Thanks for stopping by!

floral fantasies

I love to garden, and I love photography...so its a natural that I take lots of pictures of flowers/gardens isn't it?  I'd like to share a few snaps from last summer...most are my own little garden:
Oriental Poppy

Rosa Therese Brunet

 Faery Friends

Catmint drying

The welcome visitor, Mr. Bumble

Raindrop on Rosebud

Those peonies!

Drought stricken formal garden at a Tennessee plantation house

Hydrangea at Tennessee B&B

Mother's day gift from Kylie-bug

Clematis

Parkdale Market

And that was only up to mid-summer!!  Even with the drought this year, which was sadly very very severe in Tennessee, some beautiful blooms managed to emerge...TFL!

Summer antiquing and thrifting

Anyone who knows me knows I love this hobby, and so I'm sharing a few photos of fab finds over the summer...mostly I was limited to the Ottawa area, but did cram in some power-antiquing on my short trip to Tennessee in July.

Printer's tray purchased from Jenni Bowlin at Petticoat Junction, and various "smalls", including lots of buttons I bought along the road to Nashville:

These ladies grace a shopping bag purchased from a U.K. online shop: Happy Loves Rosie

I collect vintage hankies and cross stitch/needlepoint:

sweet wee egg cup 'cause I had one as a kiddie:

And locally here in Ottawa, The Great Glebe garage sale:

Whew! Think I'll save thrifing photos for another day, LOL.  TFL  :D
