a different perspective

Oh!  Now I get it...that is, after scrambling in front of the tree to take some closeups of ornaments, I happened to look up through the viewfinder and saw the tree from the vantage point that Evan and Daisy get!  LOL!  No wonder they're crazy excited and bouncing off the walls with xmas giddiness!  Here's the more sedate view of the tree that I get these days...

Kinda miss having that Christmas-in-technicolour/3-D perspective on the holidays!

Evan and I spent some time on Saturday making Christmas cards for him to give to his friends and teachers... amazing how he manages to reel-in the hi-jinx and wall bouncing once he gets into my scrapbook room, I guess its so crowded in there that its a bit like climbing into a nest or something :)

Anyway, he's getting quite proficient...in fact Sunday morning he went into my scrap-nest on his own, and methodically took out the supplies and sat down and did this:

When I discovered this after lunch I did a double take!!  I knew I had cleaned the stamps and put away the supplies the night before, it was only when I realized he'd used some new stamps that I knew I wasn't crazy/loosing my mind.

I think he spent about a quiet hour or so, while Ramon and I were busy in the kitchen and assumed he was safely ensconced on the Island of Sodor, then he must of washed his hands and went back to bouncing off the walls and generally getting under-foot with Daisy!  Never said a word. Apart from leaving the ink pad open (oops!) he seems to be a tidy little crafter...and when he uses the Tombows he can produce some pretty decent colouring, for a six year old, well, INMO anyway ;)

  2. Merry Christmas to you and your family Heather! Can't believe a tree that Jason and Andrew play under and around could ever collect dust bunnies!! ;)
